A fact that an emerging Italian progressive rock band has to face in its career is that it is nearly impossible to play in really big venues. 99% of our gigs had the essential equipment for running a live show and very few of them had the fortune to be recorded. Even less shows had been recorded in a listenable way!
One of these shows was the 2015 live show @ Casa di Alex (MI), in which unfortunately Valerio was missing. So we changed some guitar parts to match the missing keyboards and… voilà! Here it is: Tied Together in glorious quartet version!
“This song really is autobiographical and talks about the difficulties we faced between 2011 and 2014. All this feelings translates into music in a very dark, resigned, tired, stressed and angry first section, then a second section in which colors turns clearer, softer and seraphic where reflection leads to understanding, give the power of solving problems and where compromise cancels obtuse personal pride and restores light in favor to the common good.” E.S.
lyrics
I don’t know how it was
anyway here we are
as if an ice age had frozen everything
I do not compromise
and the toy is going to break
while I wait for a new Godot
this perpetual frame is eating us up
and nothing seems to change
but I’ll try
and I’ll try
I’ll try
I’ll try
again, so, here we go
And then came the silence
and I retraced on my own steps
forgetting words that paralyzed me
and now it seems to change
But I’ll try
and I’ll try
I’ll try
I’ll try
Everything changes.

I received this as a surprise present by the band for pre-ordering the upcoming album, so thanks a lot to you, too :-))
As could be expected by Pat Sanders & Co, highly melodic prog that should, for instance, appeal too friends of Fish-era Marillion (although Uncle Fish would never have reached those high notes ;-) ) and some instrumentals (from beautiful miniatures like Bubbles to the more epic Last Supper). Among many other fine things offered here, I especially love Pat's piano playing! Carsten Pieper

To me, "Trip The Life Fantastic" was a must-buy on "Bandcamp Friday" this time. It's one of the few "Drifting Sun" albums not already found in my collection, and an essential one, because it marks the beginning of the prolific collaboration of composer/keyboardist Pat Sanders and lyricist/singer Peter Falconer, which was, in my opinion, the best creative pairing the band ever had.
